Halberg Games 2021!!

A wonderful weekend away in Auckland for the Halberg Games was just the way to kick off the school holidays! Our team of Otago Southland had an amazing few days in the warmth of the North Island having a go at different sports and activities, competing alongside others from around New Zealand, making friends and making amazing memories. A few highlights include Ben winning the Junior Table Tennis competition and Luke getting third in the senior. Watch out for them in the years to come NZ, they're only getting started!! Our athletes gave a few new sports a go too, with a couple finding those special ones to continuing doing back home! We had the amazing support of our parents and caregivers wo came along as well as Jacob and Dylan who helped manage the team. Honestly couldn't have done it without you all! As well as our funders, The Southern Trust, who funded our teams flights and CERT who subsidised some or our registration costs. Also, big thanks to Bunnings Warehouse Dunedin for hosting our many sausage sizzles, we had a blast cooking snags in the sun. Until next time! - Kelly
